Rock Island Bad Tracks In Mississippi

Rock Island Bad Tracks In Mississippi | Train Fanatics Videos

The Chicago Rock Island and Pacific Railroad has a lot of work to do!

These tracks have been ignored for years and it shows. The tracts seen here comprise the Great River Railroad which provides rail service to the Port of Rosedale on the lower Mississippi River and Arkansas River. It is an intermodal port. These rails will see plenty of intermodal rail traffic once repaired.

The Chicago Rock Island and Pacific Railroad operates the The Mississippi Delta Railroad (MSDR) which is based in Sumner, Mississippi. It is a 85 mile long short line railroad with distinctive blue and white paint jobs on the their locomotives.

Let us know if you have seen these tracks carry freight. We would love to hear about your experience!
