Alaska Railroad’s Snow Covered Rails
Five locomotives pull mega long freight through snowy conditions.
When you think about it, the Alaska Railroad’s engineers hardly ever see the rails when the winter storms roll through. It must be an uneasy feeling being up in the cab hoping that you don’t run into anything under the snow ahead!
Alaska Railroad normally has a snow removal team with plows and spreaders, but in this case, they were late. Thankfully, the snow was fresh and the locomotive’s spreader was doing its job perfectly.
