Locomotives Denver & Rio Grande #’s 463 and 487 put on quite a display while traversing the beautiful New Mexico and Colorado countryside through tunnels, up the Cumbres Pass and along narrow shelves above gorges on its way from Chama, New Mexico to Antonito, Colorado.

The lighter weight (136,650 lbs) K-27 locomotive #463 takes the lead followed by the larger(187,000 lbs) K-36 locomotive #487 on this double header display of old time steam power!
