In another one of 844’s excursion runs, this one happens to be pulling the Lionel Collectors Club northbound to Cheyenne, Wyoming.

Being one of ten locomotives ordered by Union Pacific in 1944, she is currently being readied for return to service after her rehabilitation in completed.

The #844 was built to withstand speeds of up to 120 miles per hour safely!

In addition, this FEF-3 class of Union Pacific locomotive was able to produce between 4,000 to 5,000 drawbar horsepower which would allow this locomotive to pull a 1000 ton passenger train at a 100 miles per hour!
