UP Intermodal In Southern Arizona Snow

This Union Pacific Intermodal Freight makes its way through the rolling hills near Tucson, Arizona.

Snow in this low elevation of the southern Arizona desert in very uncommon since the elevations encountered are between 3500 to 4600 feet. Yet, snow settling on the desert cactus and rocks makes for great photography.

This Union Pacific consist is a intermodal double stacker which means that the top of the freight cars are most likely around 20 feet high in places and usually 100-120 cars long.
