Pacing UP 844 From High Above

Pacing Union Pacific’s 844 Northern class 4-8-4 drone style!
In one of the most interesting pacing shots we ever seen, UP 844 seems to be topping 75-80 MPH as she passes a freight in the opposite direction.
UP #844 was ordered and designed by the Union Pacific Railroad in 1944, in order to safely pull a 1000 ton passenger train at 100 miles per hour!
The “Ride of the Valkyries” theme was used to enhance the viewing experience so as not to hear the whirring sound of the drone.
