Norfolk Southern’s Executive #4270 on the streets in Augusta, Georgia!

NS #4270 heads out of town with a full load of golf fans after the conclusion of the Masters Golf Tournament.

General Motors Electro-Motive Division (EMD) produced 99 A units (cab versions) and 156 B units over a period of 7 years spanning 1953 to 1960. Today, Norfolk Southern maintains four of these locomotives as part of their executive fleet.

The EMD F units were all nicknamed “bulldog nose” because of the their distinct front end profile.
