The Nevada Northern Railway is backdropped by the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range.

Known as the “ore line”, the Nevada Northern Railway added track around the Ely area to other mines in the area and created a network hauling gold and silver ore.

The Nevada Northern Railway was built by the Utah Construction Company in 1906 and spanned 140 miles of track.
