Chasing Amtrak’s Coast Starlight from high above gives us insight into the stunning scenery this route covers on the California coast!

Set just north of Santa Barbara, this sequence captures the blue Pacific Ocean near Jalama Beach while the train heads south on its journey to Los Angeles.

The music from Johnny Cash “Ghost Riders in the Sky” is the perfect choice to listen to while gazing the magnificent scenery.

Amtrak’s Coast Starlight route links Seattle, Washington, to Los Angeles, California and takes approximately 36 hours to complete.

The trains consist contains observation cars, roomette cars for sleeping, and a parlour car where you can have fresh Atlantic Salmon pared with regional wines along the way!
