Union Pacific Pythons In The Desert | Train Fanatics Videos

Ever wonder if the containers are color coded for a reason?

This Union Pacific Intermodal Freight makes its way through the Southern Arizona Sonora Desert!

The low level of elevation of the southern Arizona desert follows the rivers and gullys. Yet, somehow, they managed to work the trackage in and around the terrain that makes for fantastic photo opportunities.

This Union Pacific consist is a intermodal double stacker which means that the top of the freight cars are most likely around 20 feet high in places and usually 100-120 cars long.

It is seen here passing a delayed consist which is common when two trains pass each other in tight spots.

Let us know if you love Union Pacific or have ever worked for them! We would love to hear your story.
