The Escanaba & Lake Superior Railroad (EL&S) is privately owned Class III shortline railroad that operates in Northeastern Wisconsin and into upper Michigan. It started with 65 miles of track and has grown to over 400 miles in the system and dates back to 1898 as a logging line.
