Locomotive Denver & Rio Grande Western #’s 463 (formerly #315) puts on quite a display while traversing the beautiful New Mexico and Colorado countryside rounding the curve headed to the Cumbres Pass.

On a excursion from Chama, New Mexico to Antonito, Colorado, the #463 works hard climbing the steep terrain.

The lighter weight (136,650 lbs) K-27 locomotive #463 takes on the appearance of her nickname (the Mudhen) due the her squatty appearance!
