New Hope & Ivyland Railroad’s #40 is once again the focus of passenger excursions. Bases out of New Hope, PA., this consolidation type locomotive (2-8-0) wheel arrangement is the center of attraction!
The New Hope Railroad is a 17 mile short line railroad that actually has revenue producing freight trains that move raw materials and products. Diesel locomotives are used for revenue runs, while the Baldwin built steam locomotive #40 is used only for passenger excursions.
