Canadian National Freight Engulfed In Flames

Engineer says “that’s a meet and a half, eh?”

A Canadian National fright gets caught in one multiple forest fires in Ontario, just outside of Armstrong, Canada. The Engineer in this case is forced to reverse out of danger as another freight is seen coming out of the smoke and flames on the parallel track.

According to eyewitness accounts, after reversing out of danger, the crew went back into harms way in a hi-rail vehicle to rescue a foreman that was trapped. In all of the smoke and confusion, the crew ran into their own train that was sitting on the tracks.

Somehow, the crew managed to find the foreman in all of the smoke and together they ran over 3 miles back to safety and escape the oncoming flames. Fortunately, none of the crew were seriously injured.
