You’ve Seen Races Before… Ever Seen A Train Race Though?
Trains are so amazing, that sometimes, even cars want to be trains!
And with this desire, train racing was born! With a ‘lead engine’, a central car, and a rear ‘caboose’ these racing trains are truly something you have to see to believe. The races take place around a figure-8 track similar to other semi professional racing circuits however the stakes are raised, as there are two drivers who have to work together as a team in order to navigate the chaos that ensues!
The three cars are not just bolted together however, but they each actually serve their own purpose.
- The ‘lead engine’ is in charge of acceleration and does not have the ability to brake. If it could the other two cars of the train would constantly slam into it.
- The second car has no driver and has no utility, other than to give length to the racing train, forcing wider turns, as a real train would have to deal with.
- Finally the ‘Caboose’ houses the second driver who has the ability to brake but is also able to steer making teamwork with the lead engine just that much more important!
What this all leads to is one spectacular and unpredictable show!
It may seem unorthodox, but we think you’ll agree, it looks like one hell of a good time!
