Theres not too much to say here. We’ve seen it time and time again and its never easy to see. Unfortunately in some areas in the United States, we have rail lines that are just far too neglected, and need some real tender love and caring!

Some investment is critical into these tracks, as the chances of derailment on poorly maintained tracks increase exponentially!

One of these railroads, and the railroad in question is the Napoleon, Defiance & Western Railroad. Sadly the ND&W railroad has seen over 50 years of neglect. While this section of the track, seen in Okolona Ohio, isn’t as terrible as other sections of the track, as hard to imagine as that is, it is still an incredible risk to the operators of these trains!

You can see the train creeping forward, as she dips more and more to her right!

No matter what way you try and slice it, a train should not be leaning sideways as it makes its way down the tracks. One thing to be said however, is that the engineer who’s running this train has some very impressive skills, and knows a thing or two about getting to his/her destination safe and sound!

Have you ever seen an engine lean this much to its side? Share your stories with us, or if you have any pictures we’d love to see them!
