How To Build Your Own Railroad Trestle In Under 3 Minutes!
All you need is your own backyard railway and plenty of lumber!
This lucky model railroader shows us how it is done in while his wife helps and gives encouragement!
Having his own model layout on his large property allows him to get creative with his track layout. This sped up video is very entertaining as he literally goes through the details of building his own trestle from scratch.
To build this portion of the trestle took a total of 5 days to build including the staining at the very end. Eventually, he will prepare the future bed of the track and lay the rails to complete his wonderland.
We are not sure the scale involved here, except we know it is larger than your average garden railroad by long shot. It is more in line with the live steamers clubs which are 1:6 scale on 7 1/4 inch gauge track.
Not long after this video was made, the Nation Model Railroad Division 10 convention was to be held in Lexington, Kentucky. The owner was hoping to have the line completed by then.
We would like to congratulate this railroad enthusiast on his wonderful layout and would like to see the completed product.
Let us know you have a model railroad in your backyard! And if you do, do you have a trestle? If not, now you know how to make one!
