A truly rare sight of Big Boy 4014 on the Keddie Wye!

As part of the northern California tour, Big Boy 4014 crosses the Feather River over the double bridge known as the Keddie Wye.

Surveyed by Arthur W. Keddie in 1867. The Feather River Canyon Route would crisscross the river and would be carved out and tunneled through solid granite cliffs.

Built in years 1905 through 1909, the Feather River Canyon Route was conceived and built by the Western Pacific Railroad.
