A quick look at how the fireman works his tail off stoking the boiler on the ole’ engine No. 98!

Ole’98 is a 1909 steam locomotive running the Red Clay Valley in Delaware. The Western and Wilmington and Western Railroad is an all volunteer railroad providing really scenic excursions of lush green countryside with creeks and bridges along the 10 mile line of track.

Located in New Castle County in Northern Delaware, the line operates over what used to be a former Baltimore and Ohio branch line.

Go ahead and stoke the boiler!

Check out the coal burning in the fire box at approximately 2500 degrees fahrenheit!
