The surprise comes at 9:27 into the clip when the train suddenly finds itself in the middle of the I-10 freeway in Alhambra, California!

Following a time honored route from Union Station in Los Angeles through Pasadena to San Bernardino, the Santa Fe 3751 garnered odd stares from motorists not used to seeing this phenomenon racing down the freeway next to them in the fast lane!

The Sante Fe 3751 was present at the grand opening of the Los Angeles Union Station in 1939 and made regular runs between Los Angeles and San Diego
