Who says your extension ladder can’t act like a railroad track?
Now you can use your extension ladder from home to help cut and mill those logs you have laying around your lot! The Norwood PortaMill Sawmill is a portable chainsaw mill that lets you utilize the tools you already have!
All you need is that old extension ladder and chainsaw you have in garage!
The Norwood PortaMill Sawmill is really handy for remote locations where a large stationary band saw mill is impractical. It is geared to cut up to logs with a diameter of 14 inches, depending on the size of your chainsaw.
The saw is guided along the ladder much the same way a train is guided by the rails!
It’s fascinating how this clever little device lets you set the alternating log thickness and allows you to add additional ladders (like extending track length) to mill longer logs. All you need is additional log clamp assemblies.
Sleepers would have been a breeze, if they had this working on the Transcontinental RR!
Let us know what your think of this really ingenious device! We would love to hear your comments!
