Terrific action at theWoodstock overpass where BHP Billiton and Fortescue Metals Group (FMG) tracks overlap!

BHP Billiton and FMG are two of the top three ore producing companies in the Pilbara region Northwest Australia.

These trains normally range from 150 to 250 iron ore cars each!

Both BHP Billiton and FMG own their own rail networks and combined, they move over 230 million tons of iron ore per year to Port Hedland.

As seen here, BHP is on the bottom track and FMG goes over the bridge!

The overall tonnage on these trains averages a massive 90,000 tons including the weight of the train and can be pulled at an astonishing 75 klm (45 mph)on average.
